Prince George residents ready to party without the pain this summer have an opportunity to try some of the new non-alcoholic beverages on the market.
Author, scientist, and former bartender Veronica Woodruff will share her insights into the evolution of drinking culture while pouring samples of a variety of non-alcoholic alternatives. Tickets are $40 and include samples of sparkling, white, and red wines, along with both pre-mixed and custom cocktails, and a signed copy of Blind Drunk: A Sober Look at Our Boozy Culture.
Non-alcoholic drinks are the fastest growing segment of the adult beverage industry. In Canada, year-over-year sales increases of 24% have led to a surge of new offerings as consumers become more health conscious. Worldwide, experts predict compound growth in excess of 7% until at least 2030. During the event, Woodruff will be pouring samples, providing product information, discussing recent research, and sharing her personal story. Attendees will have an opportunity to taste a range of products provided by Glimmer Sparkling Wine, Edna’s Cocktails and Sansorium wholesale distributors.
