Posted on March 31, 2025

Downtown Prince George is thrilled to announce that Chrisie Berry will
assume the role of Executive Director, effective April 7, 2025. Chrisie will succeed Colleen Van
Mook, who has served as Executive Director since 2016 and will be retiring in early May.

The Board of Directors warmly welcomes Chrisie, confident in her ability to build on Colleen’s
outstanding legacy. With the support of the Board and its members, Chrisie will continue to
focus on downtown growth and vibrancy, building partnerships, and creating initiatives that will
strengthen the heart of our community.

Chrisie brings over a decade of leadership experience in communications, community relations,
and stakeholder engagement. Her extensive background in customer service and corporate
connections uniquely positions her to lead Downtown Prince George into its next chapter. She
has been working for the Prince George Airport Authority (PGAA) for the last seven years, most
recently as the Communications and Community Relations Coordinator, playing a key role in
advancing community engagement and enhancing passenger experience.

“We were thoroughly impressed by Chrisie’s passion for building connections and her track
record of strengthening relationships with diverse groups, including Indigenous communities,
non-profits, and the business community,” said Eoin Foley, President of the Board of Directors.
“We are excited to see her bring this energy and expertise to Downtown Prince George.”

Expressing her enthusiasm for the role, Chrisie Berry shared, “I am looking forward to using my
education and experience to foster deeper engagement, support business leadership, enhance
communications, and elevate customer experiences in our downtown. This is a tremendous
opportunity to advocate for inclusive, community-driven initiatives and to strengthen the
vibrancy of Prince George’s downtown core.”

Chrisie’s dedication and vision will undoubtedly inspire new opportunities and continued
success for Downtown Prince George. The organization looks forward to her leadership as it
continues its mission to support a dynamic and thriving downtown.
