The City of Prince George has launched a federal petition calling for stronger action on public safety issues affecting communities across Canada.
The petition is open for 60 days and requires 500 signatures to be presented in the House of Commons. It calls for stronger bail provisions for repeat offenders, more judges and prosecutors to reduce court backlogs, and increased funding for Crown Counsel and correctional services.
Residents and business owners are encouraged to take a few minutes to sign and support improved public safety. The petition is available on the House of Commons website until March 27. Petition e-7063 – Petitions
