Downtown Prince George is a place for people — to shop, dine, explore, gather, and enjoy the heart of our city. As your Downtown Business Improvement Association, we are dedicated to creating a clean, vibrant, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, businesses, and workers.
This page highlights the many initiatives we lead to support safety, cleanliness, beautification, and community well‑being in the downtown core. From our Clean Team and graffiti management to beautification projects, partnerships, and our new Downtown Camera Program, we are continually investing in efforts that help everyone feel confident and comfortable spending time downtown.

What We Do as a Downtown Improvement Association
• Safety & Community Well‑Being | We collaborate with local partners, businesses, and community organizations to support initiatives that enhance safety and create a positive environment for everyone.
• Cleanliness & Maintenance | Our dedicated Clean Team works year‑round to keep sidewalks, public spaces, and storefront areas clean, welcoming, and well‑maintained. From litter removal to graffiti response, they help ensure downtown looks its best.
• Beautification & Placemaking | We invest in public art, seasonal décor, planters, banners, and community spaces that make downtown feel vibrant and inviting.
• Business Support | We advocate for downtown businesses, promote local shopping and dining, and help create opportunities for economic growth.
• Events & Activation | From Summerfest to holiday programming, we bring people downtown through events that celebrate community and support local businesses.
Introducing the Downtown Camera Program
To further support safety and visibility in the downtown core, Downtown PG is launching a new camera program in key public areas.

Our Clean Team plays a vital role in creating a positive downtown experience. Their work includes:
