On Friday, the public is invited to an event celebrating Joel Ewert, who is off to the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
Ewert was named to Canada’s Wheelchair Rugby team earlier this year.
The send off is organized by the City of Prince George, Prince George-Valemount MLA Shirley Bond, and Prince George-Cariboo MP Todd Doherty.
The event takes place from 11:00 to 11:30 am at Canada Games Plaza.
Attendees are encouraged to wear red or Canada-themed gear.
Additionally, a Canadian flag will be presented to Ewert, and those in attendance will have the opportunity to sign it.
The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games take place August 28th to September 8th.
