Banners for Third Avenue
The Two Rivers Art Gallery, the Community Foundation and the Downtown BIA partnered this year to bring a new banner project to Third Avenue. The 60 banners were created by children from local schools. This project brought much needed public art and creative vision to our downtown. Local businesses participated by sponsoring a banner or series of banners.
Flower Baskets
Flower baskets were again hung 2008 throughout Downtown BIA in a project funded by the City of Prince George and Downtown Prince George. This project is growing and creating an attractive and environmentally friendly atmosphere. Hanging baskets on private buildings are sponsored by the property owner, the DPG and the City of Prince George. Contact the DPG office at 614-1330 if you are interested in having a hanging basket on your private property. The cost includes the maintenance and watering for the season.
